Share has launched a new ‘Seats & Feets’ underwear and sock drive. All donations will be given to clients of Share’s Outreach program, which provides services to individuals living on the streets, as well as to clients currently in Share’s shelters.
“At Share, we pride ourselves on responding to the needs of our clients. And one need that is ever present, throughout each year, is the need for new underwear,” said Diane McWithey, executive director. “So, we have revamped our ‘Operation Sole Mates’ Sock Drive to introduce our new ‘Seats & Feets’ Underwear & Sock Drive.”
The donation drive will be held throughout the month of October. Share is asking for new underwear (all sizes) and athletic-style socks for men, women and children. Socks and underwear can be donated at any Share shelter (sharevancouver.org for locations) or the Share Fromhold Service Center, 2306 NE Andresen Road (M-F, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.). Financial donations to support the drive can also be made on-line at sharevancouver.org.
