Thanksgiving Morning Fun Run and Polar Bear Plunge.

Are you ready to work off that Thanksgiving dinner before you eat Thanksgiving dinner? The annual Clark County Turkey Trot 2013 is a 5K or 10K Family Fun Run/Walk taking place Thanksgiving morning, November 28, 2013, along the Salmon Creek Trail at Klineline Pond.

“More than just a 5K or 10K race, the Turkey Trot is a tradition of celebration on Thanksgiving morning. For some it’s an excuse to eat an extra piece of pie later in the day! For all it is about being together, and helping the community. The course is not designed for you to have the fastest race time of your life. It is designed for fun, connection, and encouragement! In addition to the race itself, you’ll experience lots of post-race food (coffee, bagels, donuts, bananas, etc.), the annual piñata for kids, and the infamous Polar Bear Swim into Klineline Pond!”

All proceeds from the Clark County Turkey Trot will be donated to the Clark County Food Bank this year. The food bank serves our community with the mission to alleviate hunger and its root causes. Your participation and donations will make a significant difference in thousands of lives throughout our community.

The race will start at 9 am, and the Polar Plunge at 10 am. Pre-registration is required (there will be NO day of race registration this year). Registration will close on Friday, November 22, 2013; or when the cap of 1,200 runners has been reached.
