WSU Vancouver Film Festival

hey! sharing is caring :)

Enjoy Free Movies at WSU Salmon Creek.

The WSU Vancouver Diversity Council sponsors a yearly film festival, the Diversity Film Festival, which will offer the community a chance to view four different films for free between Monday, September 10, 2012 and Thursday, September 20, 2012.

“The festival’s goal is to encourage and promote awareness and dialog about diversity issues present within the WSU Vancouver campus, the Vancouver community, and the world beyond. Films are chosen based on specific themes that reflect on multiple aspects of cultural diversity present in the world around us.” ~WSU Vancouver

The first week focuses on issues of political diversity, and the second week is about American Indians and native culture.

Monday, September 10, 2012: Please Vote for Me
Wednesday, September 12, 2012: The Boogie Man: The Lee Atwater Story
Tuesday, September 18, 2012: Reel Injun: On the Trail of the Hollywood Indian
Thursday, September 20, 2012: Two Spirits

Movies will take place in the Firstenburg Student Commons, except for the final movie, which will take place in the Dengerink Administration Building. WSU Vancouver is located in Salmon Creek at 14204 NE Salmon Creek Drive, Vancouver.
