Summer’s Best Party is back. After a two-year hiatus, the Clark County Fair starts this week… and the folks at the Fair are making it worth the wait!
It’ll be like seeing an old friend again, as the 152nd Edition of the Clark County Fair is set for August 5 through 14, 2022. The Fair kicks off Friday, August 5 with the Fred Meyer Free Pancake Breakfast, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. The Breakfast ends promptly at 11 a.m., and free Fair entry ends at noon, no exceptions (free entry valid only with Free Entry Voucher available at SW Washington Fred Meyer locations).
The Clark County Fair Association has created a fantastic lineup of all new features including Wild Science and a NASCAR simulator in the feature area, Dock Dogs “Big Air” competition, side-by-side racing in the grandstand, the Butterfly Experience, the ‘Worth The Wait’ Parade on opening day at 1:00 pm, and so much more! Plus, get all the carnival rides, fantastic fair food, stage acts, and adorable animals you can handle!
This year’s concert series features four nights of music. These Grandstand concerts are free with your paid Fair admission (close-to-stage VIP reserved seating is available for an extra fee). The concerts include: Friday, August 5 – Daughtry; Saturday, August 6 – Cheap Trick; Sunday, August 7 – Martina McBride; and Monday, August. 8 – Blood, Sweat, and Tears.
Buckle-up buttercup, because after the concerts, there’s the non-stop action center stage inside the Grandstand, starting Tuesday with Mutton Bustin’ and Hell on Hooves Rodeo.
Demolition Derby takes the wheel on Wednesday, where you can catch all the smashing and crashing you can handle. Thursday offers the new Side By Side Racing Series, where Utility Terrain Vehicles (UTV) race around a short track at dirt-burning speeds. Then the action-packed fan favorite… the thrills and spills of Tuff Trucks are back Friday and Saturday!! And the Monster Trucks bringing the show to a close on Sunday. What a week.
Throughout the week, catch all the vendors in the Marketplace, or grab some bragging rights in one of the many contests: Watermelon Eating, Hot Dog Eating, Cheeseburger Eating Contest, Pie Eating Contest. Pretty Baby Contest, Diaper Derby, Toddler Trot.
