World Water Day 2015 | Water Resources Education Center

hey! sharing is caring :)

We are so fortunate to readily have a healthy supply of good, clean water. This is why the Water Resources Education Center (WREC) is hosting a FREE event to observe World Water Day with a Walk for Water’. Join in on Sunday, March 22nd to celebrate and raise awareness of the need for drinkable water in other parts of the world.

From 10:00 am to 12:30 pm, the WREC will have educational displays, as well as staff on hand to answer questions. Then the main event will begin at 12:30 pm when the ‘Walk for Water’ registration opens and kick off at 1:00 pm.

Round up your family and friends, bring a container to carry water and come enjoy a walk to and from the beautiful Columbia River. Please note, children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Who is the WREC?

The WREC works with the community and it’s partners to provide volunteer opportunities, special events and educational exhibits to teach those living in Clark County how to be better stewards of our natural resources. These are great activities for the whole family and feature hands-on learning fun for all ages.
