Did you make new years resolutions to exercise and lose weight? Did running get put on the back burner during the holidays. Well, have no fear, Vancouver has some great races and charitable runs coming up this Winter!
Sunday, February 8th, 2015- Race for Warmth, supporting Operation Warm Heart. The race starts at the Clark Public Utilities building on Fort Vancouver Way. At 8:30am, kids, ages 3 to 8, enjoy their free run. The 10K starts at 9am, the 5K walk/run starts at 9:15am. The entry fee is $30 and includes a t-shirt, draw string bag of goodies, snacks, and entry in prize drawings. Pre-registration closes January 30th, 2015. You can still register on the day of the race, but a t-shirt will not be guaranteed.
Sunday, February 22nd, 2015- Hazel Dell Half Marathon and 8K. The race begins at 8:30am at Hazel Dell Town Center, 9301 NE Fifth Ave. Run or walk through the neighborhoods of Hazel Dell and Felida and along the Salmon Creek Trail, and enjoy Red Velvet cupcakes at the finish line! Proceeds benefit Panda Paws Rescue.
