hey! sharing is caring :)

The Winds and Strings Celtic Band Benefit Concert will benefit the Winter Hospitality Overflow (WHO) Program, a winter overflow shelter program operated in partnership with Share, Council for the Homeless, St. Andrew Lutheran Church and St. Paul Lutheran Church.

The concert will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018, 2:00 pm at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 5607 NE Gher Road. Guest performances by the Fort Vancouver Pipe Band and Unplugged Praise Band.

The concert is free to attend. A free will offering will be taken to support WHO; just $28 meets the programs weekly cost for one guest.

About WHO
The Winter Hospitality Overflow Program is the program that bridges the gap between limited shelter space and the increasing number of people who seek shelter during the winter months.

Through WHO, emergency shelter is available at St. Andrew, St. Paul and Share House seven nights a week. St. Andrew accommodates up to 50 people per night; those staying at the church can enjoy dinner at Share Orchards Inn, located just a few blocks away. Twenty-four single men can find shelter at St. Paul; men staying at the church can access shower facilities, wash and dry laundry and receive meals at Share House. An additional 15 homeless men are accommodated in the Share House dining room.

Each year, 50 faith-based organizations and more than 900 volunteers give of their time and money to support this valuable program. If you would like to make a financial contribution to support WHO, please mail your check, earmarked for WHO, to: The Council for the Homeless 2500 Main Street Vancouver, WA 98660.
