Combining two popular events in a single day (a Half marathon and Wine Tasting) it’s the 6th Annual North County Wine Run taking place Saturday, September 24, 2016 starting at Rusty Grape Vineyards.
The North County Wine Run is a half marathon set in the heart of beautiful North Clark County on paved country roads with rolling hills and beautiful views. The course is a fast and fun one through beautiful wine country with great views. The course will start at Rusty Grape Vineyards, and go through Olequa Cellars and Heisen House Vineyards. The wineries will be providing excellent on course support with water stations (and maybe a wine station?) along the route.
For those that aren’t quite ready for a half marathon but still want to join the fun, there is the Half Marathon 3 Person Relay Team. “We are excited to offer the 3-person half marathon relay! This is a fun way to participate with friends and family. Relay exchanges take place at Olequa Cellars and Heisen House Vineyards.” There will also be a costume contest, and the relay team with the loudest applause will win 3 bottles of wine!
After the run, enjoy food, wine from all participating wineries, music, booths, and entertainment, all included in your registration. During the post party, Beaches Restaurant will bring out the bus and offer rides from Rusty Grape to Eminar Cellars, Gateotti Cellars, Olequa Cellars, Heisen House Vineyards and then back to Rusty Grape Vineyards.
And, you can’t forget about the bling! “We are very excited to share with your our 2016 Half Marathon finisher’s medal! This very special medal is a wine pourer that you can pop on the top of any bottle of wine. Surely a conversation piece!”
