Because We All Live Downstream.
Learn what you can do to maintain healthy watersheds for your community, fish and wildlife and future generations. Take the free volunteer training series, learn for yourself and then teach others to protect our precious resources. The classes will be held on Tuesday evenings beginning February 1, from 6:30 to 9:00 pm at the CASEE Building (11104 NE 149th St, Brush Prairie).
Offered by WSU Clark County Extension in partnership with Clark County Environmental Services, Watershed Steward training uses community experts and environmental professionals to teach the basics of ecology, the importance of healthy watersheds and the impact of stormwater, stream restoration, and the role of native plants and fish (plus a bunch more!).
For more information, contact Jenifer Naas at 360.397.6060, extension 7703, or email [email protected]. To apply online, visit WSU Clark County Extension.
Want to help protect our waterways, but can’t go to the above meetings? Stormwater Partners of SW Washington asks you to take a survey about local water quality, stormwater management and the use of potentially polluting substances. The results will help improve community education efforts about reducing stormwater pollution and protecting our lakes, rivers and streams. Visit The Regional Coalition for Clean Rivers and Streams for more information (and the chance to win a raffle prize valued at $500).
