When It’s Athlete’s Corner!
After many years at the same location, Athlete’s Corner in Hazel Dell has moved! But don’t worry, they only moved about a block away! Their new store is located at 8014 NE13th Avenue, and can be reached from either 13th Avenue, or off Highway 99, next to First Independent Bank (who, by the way, has also been in the same location for many years!)
Athletes Corner was founded and has operated in its Hazel Dell location since 1979 by Mike and Margaret Jabusch. The new store is about 10,000 square feet, compared to about 6,500 square feet in the old store. “Our business has been built on a foundation of dealing honestly with our customers and doing our best to provide quality products with superior service and selection at a reasonable price. We have an in-house screen printing and embroidery staff that outfits thousands of athletes every year. Our staff is well trained to assist you in purchasing your athletic gear, offering a great selection of the top brand names in footwear, equipment and apparel for team sports. We serve individual athletes, as well as schools, little leagues, sports clubs and businesses. We pride ourselves on being a community store where you’ll find everything from league sign-up forms to news about the upcoming school play or team car wash, and where many people can be found just talking sports from pro to little league.”
