For the second year in a row, things are getting a little weird along the Columbia River waterfront in July … with weird beer that is.
The Weird Beer on the River Festival is coming back to Marina Park at the Port of Camas/Washougal on July 8 and 9, 2016. So, what can be so weird about a beer festival? Well, this tasting event attracts more than 25 local and regional beer and cider breweries and is challenging them to create and serve their weirdest brew made from ingredients such as fruits, vegetables, candy, seafood, and even insects (food-grade, or course!).
Not in a weird mood? That’s okay, too; there will be over 50 beers to choose from and only half of them will be weird. You can also enjoy some live music and tasty food from local vendors on site; not to mention just hanging out in the park by the river!
Tickets are $20 for a one day pass and six drink tokens, or $30 for a two day pass and twelve tokens. The festival will be open at Marina Park at the Port of Camas Washougal (24 South A Street, Washougal) Friday from 4 pm to 10 pm and Saturday from 2 pm to 10 pm.
Presented by Riverview Community Bank , proceeds from the event will benefit CDM Caregiving Services, a non-profit agency providing in-home care, adult day services, and other supports for Veterans, seniors and people with disabilities in Southwest Washington, in an effort to keep them living in their own home.
