Warm Hearts Warms Neighbors

hey! sharing is caring :)

We have had our first little taste of winter this year, but there will be plenty more cold days ahead. You can help keep spread the warmth by donating clean and gently used coats, blankets, gloves and socks for the Evergreen and Vancouver Public Schools Family Community Resource Centers in honor of Lee and Karen McCallister “Warm Hearts Warms Neighbors” and the Vancouver Neighborhood Alliance.

“Lee and Karen McCallister have given so much of themselves to not only the Fruit Valley Neighborhood, but neighborhoods all over Vancouver. From playground equipment, coats for NOW volunteers, lights for the neighborhood park to basic needs of food and clothing, the McCallisters were always there.”

Lee McCallister served as the President of the Fruit Valley Neighborhood Association for 21 years. Lee passed away in June of 2015 at the age of 75. Karen McCallister is still active in the community and has served as the Treasurer of the Fruit Valley Elementary PTA, a NOW volunteer, and held different offices in the FVNA over the years.

Collected items may be dropped off at the next Vancouver Neighborhood Alliance meeting on Wednesday, January 11, 2017, 7:00 pm, Vancouver Police Precinct, 2800 NE Stapleton Rd, Vancouver.
