A position on the Fort Vancouver Regional Library District Board of Trustees has recently become vacant and the City of Vancouver is looking for qualified applicants to fill the position.
This seven-member board supervises the Fort Vancouver Regional Library District which includes Clark, Klickitat, and Skamania counties as well as the City of Woodland. The board sets library policies for all 15 district libraries, bookmobiles, online services, and centralized headquarters. They are also in charge of setting the budget, encouraging effective service programs, and ensure the public has equal access to information.
To qualify for the board position, you must be a city resident. The term of the position is seven years starting on January 1, 2019, and ending on December 31, 2025. The board typically meets on the second Tuesday of each month and the meeting locations alternate among the various library branches.
