Veterans Day is a day to thank and honor all those who have served in the United States military. The Community Military Appreciation Committee will present Vancouver’s Veterans Day Ceremony on Friday, November 11, 2016, at 11 a.m., at the Armed Forces Reserve Center at 15005 NE 65th St, Vancouver, WA.
The purpose of the event is to thank local past and present veterans for their service and contributions to the community and the Country. The keynote speaker will be County Manager Mark McCauley, U.S. Army, retired Lt. Col.
Doors open at 9:45 am for refreshments and Veteran service activities. There will be Veteran-related informational booths and an Iwo Jima display. Music will be provided by the 204th Army Band and the Fort Vancouver Pipe Band. Officer Rey Reynolds will sing during the ceremony. Retired Col. Larry J. Smith, co-chair of CMAC, will emcee the event.
