There’s art and good times all around our town on this special Vancouver First Friday evening May 6, 2016.
Just two days before Mother’s Day, the evening starts off with a special gathering sponsored by Vancouver’s Downtown Association. Boomerang (808 Main Street) will host a celebration of Founding Mothers:Portraits of Progress. Join the reception as Hilaire Couture unveils her 36 recently completed portraits of women leaders of the community past and present. The reception begins at 5:30 pm and the unveiling will be at 6 pm. The exhibit will continue through the end of May.
From there, check out Vancouver’s Downtown Association First Friday Hotsheet and map for May 6, 2016 and decide which of the 18 participating locations you would like to visit.
As our friends at Vancouver’s Downtown Association told us, “So, grab your mom for a special evening, bring some friends along, and come downtown to enjoy this inspirational and fun event in your hometown! Great experiences, wonderful food and drink, and memory making are all yours. Please join in the fun!.”
