Vancouver Firefighters Covering the Couve

hey! sharing is caring :)

Annual Coat and Blanket Drive.

Give the gift of warmth this season. The Vancouver Firefighters are holding their annual Coat and Blanket Drive now through January 1, 2012. For the eighth consecutive year, they will be collecting  usable coats and blankets to give to those in need this winter.

The city firefighters are looking for clean, usable blankets and coats in all sizes. He says children’s coats are in greatest demand. During a typical day running emergency calls, firefighters meet people who need warm coats and can’t afford them.

Coats and blankets can be dropped off daily between 8 am and 7pm at the Westside Fire House (400 E 37th, adjacent to the Safeway on Main). This year America’s Self Storage (108 NW 139th St) in Hazel Dell has also agreed to be a drop off point for the Vancouver Firefighter Coat and Blanket Drive.

For more information, contact Acting Fire Captain Matt Krussow at 360-487-7302.
