TwinStar Credit Union recently announced the availability of the 2018 High School and Higher Education Scholarship opportunities. The programs are part of the TwinStar Community Foundation’s efforts to help members pursue additional education.
TwinStar Credit Union offers scholarships to both graduating high school seniors and older students seeking college education. Nearly $46,000 is awarded to almost two dozen scholarship winners each year.
2018 High School Scholarships.
This scholarship program is for current high school seniors who will graduate in June 2018 and plan to attend an institution of higher learning in the Fall of 2018. Applications are made available to members starting January 1 and due by March 31.
The TwinStar Community Foundation will be awarding fifteen (15) $2,000 scholarships to members who will be graduating from high school in 2018. Scholarships are awarded to recipients in May and June at the student’s high school awards ceremony.
Eligibility Requirements:
– Applicant must be a member of the Credit Union, in good standing.
– High school must be located within the Credit Union’s approved service area.
– Application must be accompanied by a current high school transcript.
2018 Higher Education Scholarships.
Each year TwinStar Credit Union offers eight (8) scholarships of $2,000 each to members pursuing higher education. You must have been out of high school for at least one year to apply.
TwinStar’s Higher Education Scholarship Program begins on June 1. Applications may be obtained at any branch location. The submission deadline is July 31. Scholarships are awarded in August and September.
Eligibility Requirements:
– Applicant must be a member of the Credit Union, in good standing.
– Application must be accompanied by a copy of school enrollment or acceptance letter.
– Application must be accompanied by a high school or college transcript (unofficial is acceptable).
