Woodland Planters Days, now celebrating its 97th year, is four fun-filled days of family activities, food, carnival and community celebration taking place June 13th through June 16th, 2019.
Woodland Planters Days Celebration began as a way to celebrate the successful completion of the dikes protecting Woodland. The first year included a barbeque, dance, and a ball game between Woodland and Kalama.
This year, includes, well, just about everything! “There are your traditional favorites this year; the Fireman’s BBQ sandwiches, Muster, Penny Scramble, Military Vehicles, Car Show and Cruise-In, and let’s not forget the parade, my children’s favorite and a great source of sugar rush! But please make sure you watch those kiddos. Not all of our parade participants have the best aim.” ~Jennifer Wray-Keene, President.
If you’re looking for some good old family fun, you will find it at Woodland Planters Days. This year’s theme is “A Family Tradition”; from a Pet Parade, Court Coronation, Food, Fireworks, Carnival, Bed Races, Car Show, and so much more, this event is sure to become one of your family traditions.
Woodland Planters Days celebration takes place in Woodland, Thursday, June 13th through Sunday, June 16, 2019. The carnival (and many events) will be held at Horseshoe Lake, but there are also events happening downtown and other venues. For a full schedule of events, please visit Woodland Planters Days online.
