It’s hard to believe we are already talking about back to school, but hey, all good things have to come to an end and Woodland is throwing a bash to make the transition a little more fun.
Join Woodland Public Schools for a Back to School Bash on Saturday, August 17th from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Woodland High School (1500 Dike Access Rd). Students from Woodland, Kalama, and La Center of all ages are invited to attend. There will be free backpacks with school supplies, games, bounce houses, prizes and food for all to enjoy. Last year almost 2,200 backpacks were handed out.
The event is made possible by a combination of teamwork and collaboration from volunteers and community members. Catherine Pulliam, Woodland Public Schools’ Community, Family, and Student Resource Coordinator said, “These partnerships help chip away at the non-academic barriers to learning and also support the healthy development of students and their families.” Donations from Woodland Public Schools, sponsorships from local churches as well as grants from area businesses and organizations make this event a success.
So mark your calendars now and plan to kick the school year off with a bash and a bang. For more information, visit Woodland Schools online.
