Washougal Lights Up with the Holiday Lighted Parade and Tree Lighting

Kick off the holiday season in Downtown Washougal on Thursday, December 6th with the Lighted Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting. The parade will start at 6:00 PM and run down Main Street from 24th Street to Durgan Street and end at Reflection Plaza for the Tree Lighting at 6:30 PM.

There are still openings for parade participants. There is no fee to enter the parade, you just must be lighted in some way. Applications are due by Monday, December 3rd and can be found at City Hall or online at the City of Washougal. Awards will be given for Best Use of Lights, Best Use of Music, and Santa’s Choice. Each year various clubs, businesses, organizations, and individuals from around the community take part in the parade. The parade is a way to show community support and of course advertise your business or club. It is a lot of fun for all involved.

There will be free cookies, hot cider, and coffee throughout the evening. The Washougal High School Band and WHS X-Tet Chorus will be performing to spread holiday cheer. Santa Claus will make a surprise appearance and will be handing out candy canes and taking FREE photos with kids and families alike.

Head out, grab a bite, do some shopping, and enjoy the holiday season.
