Did you know that the Clark County Mural Society commissions three to five new murals each year? Have you ever wanted to get an up-close look at some of them?
Well then, it’s time to lace up your walking shoes and join the All Weather Walkers, a walking group active in Clark County since the 1990s, for the 2019 Vancouver Murals and Decorative Storm Drains Walk on Saturday, May 25th. Start times are between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm and the Vancouver Farmers Market.
This is a non-competitive fun and fitness walk that is open to the public and passes many of downtown Vancouver’s murals and decorative storm drains. The walk length is 6K or 10K (you choose) and the route is marked and maps distributed at our start point.
“Walkers new to our club can walk for free or donation. Walkers can begin between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm, at our registration tent in the parking lot at 8th and Grant, and must finish the walk by 4:00 pm (we begin removing trail markings at 2 pm). We keep a log of who’s out on the trail to ensure everyone makes it back.”
