Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Irish style in downtown Vancouver with Music and a Movie, Sunday, March 17, 2019, at the historic Kiggins Theatre. Enjoy some classic Irish inspired music, which is then followed by the showing of the movie “The Quiet Man”.

Before the showing of the movie, there will be some toe-tapping music by The Fort Vancouver Pipe Band and singer Paul O’Dean, both providing a short program of Irish tunes and other lively musical selections. Paul O’Dean is a member of the Bridge Town Sound barbershop chorus, and the Fort Vancouver Pipe Band has been in Vancouver since 2000.

The musical performance begins at 6:00 PM, the movie will immediately follow at 6:30 PM. The movie is a classic romantic comedy drama, starring John Wayne and Maureen O’Hara, which won Oscars for cinematography and for director John Ford in the year it was released.

In keeping with the tradition started a couple of years ago, the program has become a part of the holiday at Kiggins Theatre, which will also be selling popcorn with real Irish butter from Kerrygold, and green beer.

Tickets are $10 and cover both the music and the movie.
