Do you like movies? Lunafest is a program of eight short films made by, for and about women. Come celebrate women in film on Thursday, May 2, 2019, at the historic Kiggins Theatre.
These films are curated from international entries to spotlight the diverse talent of women filmmakers. As a special feature of the Vancouver event, there will be a screening of the pilot episode of The Musicianer, a haunting work contemplating the costs of artistry and fame from Vancouver’s own award-winning filmmaker, Beth Harrington. Ms. Harrington, the 2019 Clark County Arts Commission’s Lifetime Achievement Award winner, will share brief comments after the showing about her career in film.
Doors open at 5:30 pm, where you can mingle with other film fans and pick up your favorite concessions or an adult beverage before proceeding to your seat to watch the screening at 6:30 pm.
VIP tickets are $75 and include admission, private reception before the screening with a drink ticket, appetizers and event swag. General Admission tickets are $20, and student tickets are $10.
