Bring the family and join local Downtown Camas merchants for a fun evening hunting for Leprechauns and celebrating being green on Friday, March 1, 2019, between 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm at Camas First Friday.
Lucky leprechauns, Eartha the Clown, a “Green Zone” featuring local green schools, green businesses, and non-profits that care for the environment, and the wearing of the green will all be a part of this fun event.
Each participating merchant will have a “lucky leprechaun” hidden in their business, and for every leprechaun you find, you receive a prize ticket to be entered to win “green” prizes and more from the merchants. Lucky leprechaun “passports” can be found in participating stores and at the DCA table in Journey. Be sure to wear green, especially if you have a green hat, for extra prize tickets.
Eartha the Clown and her cockatoo “Major” will be there to meet families, take pictures, and do education about the environment.
Take a stroll through the “Green Zone” at Journey church and visit with local nonprofits while the kids learn how easy it is to make this world a greener place with fun educational kid-friendly activities, crafts, and painting.
There are also featured ribbon cutting ceremonies, art shows, and receptions. Maybe even try out the “blender bike” and create your own smoothie.
