- November 18
Clark County Youth Wrestling is a consortium of youth wrestling teams from all around Clark County that maintains the goal to introduce quality wrestling at a recreational level. As part of this program, one group is being led by long-time local wrestling coach Travis Chipman.
Chipman led an incredibly successful Mt. View HS program for several years, and after a couple of years away from the sport is now giving back yet again.
In a statement, Chipman said, “I am excited to share I am getting back involved with something near and dear to my heart, youth wrestling. I will be coaching a team at Columbia River and will be working with the current coaches and team as part of the youth wrestling fundraiser for their program.”
Having coached both entry-level wrestlers as well as State ‘Mat Classic’ bound athletes, Chipman said this program is open to all levels of wrestlers, grades K-8, and is co-ed.
Registration dates are November 4 and November 18, from 6:00-7:00 PM at Columbia River High School. The program will start in December 2019, and run through March 2020.
