Growing Our Future: 2019 Food Summit

Engage around the thoughts, ideas, and actions that support the local food economy and learn more about the science of food from production and distribution to nutrition.

The 2019 Food Summit, hosted by Clark College in partnership with the Clark County Food System Council and community partners, will take place on Friday, February 22nd from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm at Clark College Columbia Tech Center (18700 SE Mill Plain Blvd).

There will be many opportunities to join in conversations throughout the day during break out sessions, product showcase, and a locavore lunch. “Together we will explore challenging issues, policies, and community needs and the strategies that address them.”

Tickets are $10, which includes refreshments and lunch, payable at the door. RSVP requested here.

The Clark County Food System Council was formed to assess the current food system in our community, to provide a forum for people involved in different parts of our community food system and government to meet and learn about how each others’ actions impact our food system, and to identify and prioritize issues and make recommendations that promote, support and strengthen access to healthy food for citizens in our community.
