Get Carried Away to a Magical Land at The Nutcracker Live Performances
While a lot of children have probably seen one of the animated movies, or at least heard of, The Nutcracker, there is nothing quite like a live performance. Experience the holiday spirit and a little magic with loved ones of all ages at The Nutcracker.
A treasured holiday tradition continues as local dancers present The Nutcracker. Join Clara and her Nutcracker Prince on a magical journey as brave toy soldiers battle mischievous mice, snowflakes and sugarplum fairies dance, and get carried away to a magical land, all to Tchaikovsky’s unforgettable score.
There are several local dance studios with upcoming shows for the 2019 Holiday Season.
The Nutcracker presented by Vancouver Dance Theatre will perform at Fort Vancouver High School Theater. Tickets are $16.25 for General Admission, Children 2 and under are free if sitting on a lap, and Group Tickets are $13.25 each. Tickets can be purchased online in advance. Shows will be on Friday, December 6th, at 7:00 pm; Saturday, December 7th at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm; and Sunday, December 8th, at 2:00 pm.
The Nutcracker presented by Friends of DanceWorks features dancers from Vancouver City Ballet and DanceWorks Performing Arts and will perform at Fort Vancouver High School. Tickets are available for advance purchase for $20 General Admission. Performances will be on Friday, December 20th at 7:00 pm; Saturday, December 21st at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm; and Sunday, December 22nd at 2:00 pm.
The Nutcracker presented by Columbia Dance will perform at Royal Durst Theatre, VSAA. Tickets are $20/Adult, $15/Senior/Student and can be purchased in advance from Columbia Dance. Public performances will be on Friday, December 20th at 7:00 pm; Saturday, December 21st at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm; Sunday, December 22nd at 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm; and Monday, December 23rd at 1:00 pm.
