Find Some Fun in Support of Search and Rescue

Playing Hide and Seek when you’re a kid is fun. But, no matter what your age, if you are really lost and want to be found, it’s not fun. Come on out to Mill Creek Pub (1710 SW 9th Ave, Battle Ground) on Tuesday, March 5, 2019, and help support the Southwest Washington Search and Rescue team.

There are no advance tickets required, and no charge to attend; just drop in anytime from 11:30 AM to 9:00 PM to participate. You will have an opportunity to bid on a silent and live auction, and purchase raffle tickets for great prizes. An educational table will have outdoor safety information, essential items on display, and other informative pieces discussing outdoor best practices.

At 6:00 PM the Search and Rescue trailer will be on site for tours in the parking lot. Explore their mobile base and let the SAR games begin.

The Live Auction will begin at 6:30 PM, and continue until around 8:00 PM. Auction items include Mariners tickets, Timberline lift tickets and ski rentals, Celebration Jewelers gift card, Multnomah Falls Helicopter ride, Kayak lessons, a ride in a race car and more. See flyers at the event for raffle drawing times and complete live auction information.

Funds collected are earmarked for Rescue Northwest’s Ropes Rescue Technician level II course this Spring, which will let SAR certify over half their team as Ropes Rescue Technicians.

“We are looking forward to this opportunity to interact with the community we serve, providing some great entertainment and auction items, and raising the funds we need to be able to bring our team up to the next level in ropes rescue capability.”, states the Southwest Washington Search and Rescue team.
