The 13th Annual Girlfriends Run for a Cure offers a Half Marathon, 10K and 5K routes designed specifically for women to get together, do something good for themselves and to raise funds for the Pink Lemonade Project and the Jaime Wyatt Miller Cancer Compassion Fund to support local women navigating Breast Cancer.
About half the gals run, half walk and many do a combination of running and walking. It doesn’t matter how you get to the finish line, as long as you get there. This walking and running event is designed specifically for women including awesome women’s technical shirts, cool medals, chocolate, treats, massage and firemen waiting for you at the finish line!
The course is mostly flat with a couple of short hills so save a little energy. As you’re climbing those hills just remember “It’s tough but you’re tougher!” There will be a few lead cyclists and plenty of course marshals and signage to ensure you know exactly where you are going.
The 13th Annual Girlfriends Race for the Cure will take place on Sunday, October 13, 2019. For more information, including registration, visit Why Racing Events Girlfriends Run for a Cure.
You GO, girl!
