Become a Stream Steward.
Ever wondered what happened to all the Salmon in Salmon Creek?
Are you interested in learning about our local environment?
Do you want to make Clark County even better?
Clark Public Utilities’ StreamTeam offers the Stream Stewards program for people just like you! The program allows Clark County residents to learn about local environmental topics through professional level, hands-on workshops.
The goal of the Stream Steward course is to increase awareness about geology, hydrology, riparian and wetland habitat, wildlife (i.e. birds, fish, mammals and reptiles), water quality and native plant restoration.
The class is offered free of charge, however participants are asked to complete 45 hours of volunteer time through a variety of different activities with the Stream Team or one of their partners.
Classes start in September. Click here for more information.
