They opened a door and entered a world… this dramatization of C.S. Lewis’ classic, brings you along with Lucy (played by Elizabeth Brown), Edmund (Andrew Pongratz), Susan (Kelly Mitchell) and Peter (Conor McCarthy) on their journey through the land of Narnia. There they will encounter the White Witch (played by Jennifer Thoreson), Mr. & Mrs. Beaver (Gina George and Scott Rushford respectively), Mr. Tumnus (Jack Hardy) and the great lion Aslan (David Bower), who changes their lives forever. The arrival of the four children are an answer of hope to many in Narnia who have been under the cruel ruling of the witch who is determined to keep Narnia in her possession and to end the reign of Aslan, yet the battle has just begun. This is a tale of love, faith, courage, triumph of good over evil and most importantly the ultimate sacrifice.

This production will mark the final show at Magenta Theater’s current location, with plans to debut the 2016 season in a new theater and location: 1108 Main Street, Vancouver. The new location, in the heart of the Vancouver Arts District next to upscale restaurants and shops, will feature seating for up to 150 (current location houses a maximum of 101 seats) all with excellent sight lines to the stage and more leg room. The main stage will be 100% larger creating expanded opportunities for main stage shows and performances, and a new, spacious lobby will provide an inviting area for audiences to gather, and enjoy beer and wine if desired.
