The Teacher Appreciation/Classroom Assistance Program is a joint effort between TwinStar Credit Union and ClarkCountyLive.com, and is designed to provide financial assistance to teachers for their classroom needs.
How does it work?
Simple. Each month, school Principals, Admins, and/or PTA Boards/Members (Update: and now community members too) can submit the name of a deserving teacher, with a brief explanation of why the teacher might deserve recognition and financial support for their classroom. Each month throughout the school year, ClarkCountyLive.com and TwinStar Credit Union will randomly select one teacher from those submitted who will be awarded $250 to use at their discretion towards education opportunities for their students.

Each school is limited to no more than two teacher submissions each month. An individual teacher may be submitted multiple times over the course of the year, but any individual teacher may not win more than once in a school year. Submissions are confidential, and the only names that will be made public are those of the winning teacher and the person/entity that nominated the selected teacher.
Winners will be randomly drawn during the last week of the calendar month, and awarded during the subsequent calendar month. In the event the winning teacher declines the award or is no longer employed in a teaching capacity, we will select a backup winner.
