Future U Expo

It’s never too early to make a plan for your future! From college to careers, a variety of post-high school options for students will be on display at Vancouver Public Schools’ inaugural Future U Expo on Tuesday, October 25, 2016. Families will have the opportunity to visit with representatives from public and private colleges, training programs, trade schools, military and job opportunities… there’s something for everyone!

Fears, Tears or Cheers…It’s Here.

Seems as my kids get older, our summers get shorter. I received our school district calendar in the mail and started marking all the big dates on the calendar…and…WOW…the first day of school is almost here!

There’s lots of advice on getting ready for the first day of school, and apply to kindergartners as well as seniors: get plenty of rest, eat healthy, get school supplies, compare teachers/schedules with friends, and be sure to check out the back to school events your school has planned!

Get Physical.

sports-images_webPhysicals are required for middle and high school students who plan on participating in intramural sports, band, or cheer. Free sports physicals are available for all Vancouver Public School students. No appointment is necessary (except at the Free Clinic of SW Washington). Students may be accompanied by a parent, or download the parent permission form.

August 10 – Hudson’s Bay High School
August 12 – Skyview High School
