February is perfect for “love birds”. Enjoy fun, interactive activities related to birds at the Love Your Backyard Birds. This is also the perfect opportunity to get ready for the Great Backyard Bird Count occurring Friday, February 16 through Monday, February 19, 2018. Anyone can take part in the Great Backyard Bird Count, from beginning bird watchers to experts, and you can participate from your backyard, or anywhere in the world.

Does your child want to be a scientist? Inquisitive young minds (and their parents) can explore different fields of science through hands-on activities at this Second Saturday event at the Water Resources Education Center on January 13, 2018.

Native American Heritage Celebration

Vancouver’s Water Resources Education Center is moving its annual recognition of Native America Heritage month from a Second Saturday event to its own Saturday celebration, set for November 18. Attendance at the popular family-friendly event has grown greatly over the years, and this year’s celebration promises some new features, as well as some past favorites.
