Artists and art lovers from around the region will attend the Washougal Art Festival, Saturday August 13, 2016, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm in downtown Washougal’s Refection Plaza. Some of the different art featured will include jewelry, water color, photography, mixed media, recycled steel, fused glass, paper weaving and line drawings, cement /concrete leaf castings, mosaic glass, terrariums, and wood. The “Art Rocks” area will offer young artists the opportunity to decorate their own river rock to take home as well as provide a template for coloring.
Pirates are gathering in downtown Washougal and bringing with them music, dancing and sword fights for a fun and festive event for the whole community. Pirates in the Plaza will be held Saturday, August 6, 2016, from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm at Reflection Plaza in downtown Washougal (1701 Main Street, Washougal). The free, family-friendly concert will feature the musical mayhem of BilgeRats and Pyrettes, and dancing by Bellissimonde, Bridgetown Morris Men and Washougal’s Dayley Dance Academy.
