The Port of Vancouver USA invites you to a special Christmas Ships viewing event and Terminal 1 Open House on Monday, December 5, 2016, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Come enjoy Christmas Ships viewing from the Grand Ballroom of the former Red Lion Inn at the Quay as well as getting a sneak peek at the Port's plans to revitalize Terminal 1.
Ever wondered what it’s like to be a river pilot or locomotive engineer? Or how soybeans from North Dakota make it all the way to China? Maybe you’ve wondered what those wooden structures in the Columbia River are and how they help vessels of all kinds safely navigate the river. The Port of Vancouver USA hopes to answer these questions and through a lecture series featuring industry experts who will knowledge, personal experiences and fascinating facts about how railroads and the maritime industry work, how products move by road, river and rail, and how ports connect us to the global marketplace.
The WareHouse ‘23 event space will be open to the public from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm for a special Holiday Open House and Christmas Ships viewing. The waterfront project team will also be on hand to the latest information about revitalizing Terminal 1 and the downtown waterfront.
The Port of Vancouver USA is one of the major ports on the Pacific Coast and those interested in learning about Washington's third-oldest port can see it in action. The Port of Vancouver USA has scheduled 10 tour opportunities for 2018.
