Race for Warmth Gives You a Warm Heart

Join our friends at Clark Public Utilities for the Race for Warmth to support Operation Warm Heart, a Clark Public Utilities customer-funded program to help limited-income families in crisis situations who need help paying their electric bills.

The 2015 event was the first annual Race for Warmth, and raised more than $20,000 for this critical assistance program. Check out the video from 2015 below.

The 2016 Race for Warmth, which will be held on January 31, 2016, will feature a 10k Run, a 5K Walk/Run, a kids Fun Run, and, my personal favorite, the ‘Sleep in to Stay Warm’ option (where you can donate any amount and sleep in the day of the event). :) – Here’s where you can Donate to help those in need (and feel good about sleeping in)!

Clark Public Utilities Plugs in New Electric Car Chargers, Rapid Charger Downtown

Electric vehicle drivers now have more options to park and power up with five new public chargers at Clark Public Utilities’ service centers.

Conveniently adjacent to Interstate-5, the downtown service center at 1200 Fort Vancouver Way will now offer three public Level 2 Blink chargers and a new Level 3 rapid charger. The Orchards location will offer two public Level 2 Blink charging stations at 8600 NE 117th Ave.

Stream Team Hosting Family-friendly Earth Day Activities

Clark Public Utilities’ StreamTeam is hosting its annual Earth Day Celebration Saturday, April 18 in partnership with Clark County Department of Environmental Services. The 16th Annual Earth Day Celebration will be held at Salmon Creek Regional Park with activities for the whole family.

The family-friendly event, open to the public, will include a free community EcoFair between 10 a.m.
