One of the best railroad experience around is at the historic Chelatchie Prairie Railroad right here in Yacolt. And this year they have several train adventures this fall and winter that are fun for the whole family.

Chelatchie Prairie Fall Leaves Steam Train Ride

Enjoy a colorful ride through the countryside and celebrate the changing of the seasons, on the Chelatchie Prairie Railroad Fall Leaves Special Excursions. With the changing color of the leaves and the crispness in the air, it promises to be an exciting event.

Get Your Ticket to Ride

The Chelatchie Prairie Railroad Association would like to invite you to get your ticket to ride a 13 mile round trip from Yacolt to Basket Flats on September 16th at either 12:00 pm or 2:30 pm.

Chelatchie Prairie Train Robbery Ride

You will think you took a step back in time and into the Wild, Wild, West when you board the Chelatchie Prairie Railroad, complete with “outlaws” attempting the “rob” the travelers. Fun for kids (and kids at heart) this special Steam Train Robbery Ride will take place on Saturday and Sunday, July 15 and 16, 2017.

Mother’s Day Dinner and Wine Train

Forget the flowers and chocolate… celebrate this Mother’s Day with dinner, wine and a train ride! Moulton Falls Winery Mother’s Dinner and Wine Train Ride will take place on Saturday, May 13th, so you can still give mom some flowers and chocolate on Sunday, too.

Chelatchie Prairie Railroad Holiday Ride

Over the river and through the woods…on a train…with Santa! Hop on board the Chelatchie Prairie Railroad for a train ride you and your kids will never forget. It’s the last ride of 2016, and Santa will be on board. On Saturday and Sunday, December 17 and 18, 2016, enjoy a ride through the countryside on a real steam train with complimentary refreshments, and Santa handing out a present for each child on board.

Patriot’s Wine Train

The Chelatchie Prairie Railroad teams up with Moulton Falls Winery for a day of fun, food and friends as they celebrate the people who have served our country. The Patriot’s Wine Train will depart from Moulton Falls Winery on Saturday, November 12, 2016.

Mid-Summer Train Excursions on the Chelatchie Prairie Railroad

All aboard for the Mid-Summer Weekend Train excursions. This journey will take you to the Heisson area, through the tunnel, across the East Fork of the Lewis River with a stop at Moulton Station to visit the beautiful Yacolt Falls. Be sure to arrive 30 minutes before departure time to check in.

A Colorful Ride Through the Country.

Celebrate the changing of the seasons, and enjoy the beautiful fall colors on the Chelatchie Prairie Railroad. The Chelatchie Prairie Railroad will be operating Saturday and Sunday, October 13-14, 2012, with their Fall Leaves Special schedule.

With the changing color of the leaves and the crispness in the air, it promises to be an exciting event. The runs will be excursion trains, through a 330 foot solid rock tunnel and a stop at Moulton Station to visit Yacolt Falls.
