Pet Safety Tips for the 4th of July

Ever since I was a child, I always looked forward to going to the Fireworks Show at Fort Vancouver, and I still do; my dog, however, is not a big fan of fireworks. Unlike people, pets don’t associate the noise, flashes, and burning smell of pyrotechnics with celebrations; and usually panic at the sights, smells and sounds happening on the fourth.

Celebrate Freedom for Free at this year’s 4th of July Fireworks Show at the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site. This year is all about the fireworks, with no admission fee to the Independence Day at Fort Vancouver celebration.

While the Independence Day Celebrations at Fort Vancouver will end with an exciting Fireworks extravaganza, the entire day is going to be a BLAST! Come celebrate the Fourth of July at Fort Vancouver National Historic Site all day and into the night on Monday, July 4, 2016 starting at 8 am.

Celebrate Independence Day at the Fort!

Fireworks, parade, concerts, and rides! Costumed story-tellers, elephant ears, and the Adult Drink Pavilion! Independence Day at Fort Vancouver has something for everyone! The day’s events begin at noon, with the magical and amazing firework show beginning at 10:05pm.
