What are you doing on Superbowl Sunday? Whether you are looking forward to the big game, the food, the commercials, or just hanging with friends…all that doesn’t start until the afternoon.
So here’s a great way to start your day (and pre-burn off some of those calories you’ll be eating and/or drinking later), it’s a Superbowl Fun Run!
This is a beautiful 5K or 10K trail run along the East Fork of the Lewis River starting at Hartwick Park in Yacolt at 9:00 am. Wear your favorite team gear and come on out and enjoy Grilled Cheese sandwiches, beer, cookies, water, Gatorade, heat, friends and a well-marked course.
The Superbowl Fun Run is hosted by Get Bold Events, so you know it’s going to be fun; but this is also a fundraiser for Race Director Elba Benzler.
“Our Race Director, Elba Benzler is turning 50 this year! Can you believe he wants to celebrate it by competing in his first Ironman distance triathlon? We would say this is very inspiring and very BOLD!
We need your help getting him there! What other triathlon than of course ELBAMAN! This event is located on Elba Island, about 10 miles off the coast of Italy. As you know Race Directors don’t make it rich, it’s more of a passion and a love for the sport that makes an event happen. Therefore he is asking only for donations for the above run to help get him there. There is no need to sign up, simply show up and make any donation amount that you can.”
