Super Fun Awaits at Clark County Fair 2015

hey! sharing is caring :)

A summer tradition for almost 150 years; the Clark County Fair will take place this year August 7-16, 2015 in Ridgefield, Washington.

This year’s theme is “Hero Up” and will feature the Superhero Adventure.  Superhero Adventure includes a cityscape straight from the pages of your favorite comic books and features a realistic movie set including a crashed vehicle, distressed buildings, characters and props! Have fun with the interactive exhibits; try Lazer Tag in a walkthrough shooting gallery or visit the Superhero Kids Zone and meet your favorite superhero.

Enjoy live entertainment in the Grandstands. This year’s Clark County Fair Concert lineup will feature Kansas, John Kay and Steppenwolf, Montgomery Gentry, and The Guess Who; as well as Brittish Export (a Beatles Tribute Band), Ramble On (Led Zeppelin Tribute Band) and Stone in Love (Journey Tribute Band). There is free seating in the Grandstands with your Fair admission; or you can get the up close and personal concert experience and purchase Reserved Limited VIP Grandstand Floor Seating. Cost is $25-$35 and includes your fair admission. The favorite Grandstand shows are back as well… Mutton Bustin’, Moto X, Demo Derby, Tuff Trucks and Monster Trucks.

What else is New? Check out just a few of the new activities. Wild About Monkeys: The kookiest baboons out there! Educational and entertaining. The Pirate’s Parrot: New location, bigger, and better than ever! And, of course, Superhero Adventure: Become a hero. Save the world.

The local 4-H kids do an awesome job every year showing their animals and visiting with guests. Check out the exhibition halls and see who won the Blue Ribbons in everything from arts and crafts, canning, flowers, quilts, recycled art, Lego creations and so much more!

Then there are the rides, the games, the food, tons of shows/entertainment on multiple stages throughout the fairgrounds, people watching and just good old fashioned fun.

Fred Meyer will again be kicking off opening day with a free pancake breakfast and admission (pick up a coupon at your local Fred Meyer, while supplies last) and C-Tran is offering free shuttle service this year.

The Fair will be open from 8 am to 11 pm opening day (August 7); 10 am to 10 pm Sunday through Thursday and 10 am to 11 pm Friday and Saturday. For more information visit the Clark County Fair online.
