STASHA Clark County – Youth Drug Prevention Team Looking to Add New Members

hey! sharing is caring :)

The Clark County STASHA – ‘Strong Teens Against Substance Hazards and Abuse’ – is looking to fill vacant positions for its 2018-19 program year.

Peer educators for STASHA promote healthy lifestyles and are committed to discussing issues with youth in Clark County surrounding the use of drugs and alcohol. These advocates look to represent a wide range of youth in a variety of neighborhoods in the county.

Educators range in age from 12-19 and are youths who have used drugs, never used drugs, or have completed treatment and are now in recovery. Each educator serves a one-year term and then has the opportunity to stay in the program until they reach the age of 19.

Eligible youth must live in Clark County and be interested in sharing their thoughts and opinions on substance abuse and prevention. Training is provided.

If you or someone you know is interested, fill out the application online. Applications are due by Friday, June 15.

For more information, contact Alaina Green, STASHA Peer Educator Coordinator at 360-397-2130 ext. 5841 or email at [email protected].
