Spirit Tales of the Vancouver Barracks Guided Tours

hey! sharing is caring :)

Who says you have to wait until October for spooky tales and ghost stories?

From July 7th through Labor Day, local veteran and author Jeff Davis will be your guide for  Spirit Tales of the Vancouver Barracks.

Every Friday or Saturday evening (6:30 pm), and Sunday afternoon (2:00 pm) you can experience a narrative depicting the darker side of life on the historic US Army post.

The 90-minute tour was designed by Davis, who served at the Vancouver Barracks for many years, and has firsthand experience with both the spooky and ordinary history of the Vancouver Barracks. Whether you believe in ghosts or not, you’re sure to be entertained by the stories of Vancouver Barracks’ past inhabitants.

The tour starts in the parking lot opposite the Grant House restaurant, cost is $15.00 for adults and $12.00 for youth and seniors. For more details and to reserve your spot click HERE.

A Little History About the Vancouver Barracks

The Vancouver Barracks was founded in 1849 and members of the United States military served there until 2011. In those years, thousands of service members, their families, civilians, and prisoners walked its grounds.

In over 150 years, they left their mark on the land and the buildings, leaving behind many memories. Stories have grown up about the Vancouver Barracks, stories of loneliness, fear and tragedy, all part of the darker aspects of military life.
