Slow Down, Drive SMART

hey! sharing is caring :)

Do you often want to tell your neighbors to slow down and check the speed limit?

Having a radar speed sign is an effective way to get people to pay attention and slow down. You now have the opportunity to join the City of Vancouver to help get portable speed signs in your neighborhoods and start slowing those neighbors today.

If you are interested in helping to make a difference to slow down and educate motorists in your neighborhood and have a few hours month to offer, then don’t delay and apply to volunteer with SMART (Speed Monitor Awareness Radar Trailer) program today. SMART volunteers use a City-provided truck to transport and set up a SMART speed trailer in different neighborhoods on Mondays and Fridays. Training for the job is provided. You must be at least 18 years old, have a valid drivers license, clean driving record, pass a background check, and be able to bend, twist, kneel and lift up to 40 pounds.

If this could be you, apply online at the City of Vancouver SMART Volunteer Program.
