The Police Activities League of SW Washington is a non-profit organization that partners with law enforcement agencies to promote positive relationships between law enforcement officers and youth in the community through educational programs and recreational opportunities.
Each quarter the Police Activities League of SW Washington (PAL) recognizes a volunteer. The 2021 first quarter volunteer is Vancouver Police Department Neighborhood Police Officer Sean Metevia.
“We have reached the end of the first quarter in 2021, which means it is time to recognize our first amazing volunteer of the quarter! This month, we are celebrating one of our new Neighborhood Police Officers from the Vancouver Police Department, Sean Metevia. Sean jumped into PAL very quickly after joining VPD, and we have loved his help and support ever since he joined. He attends our literacy events, is a mentor for McLoughlin middle school, and has recently become a mentor to our newest group at the Boys and Girls Clubs. He is a natural leader, great with kids, and has a great sense of humor, making everyone laugh.

PAL offers many at-risk children year-round programs and special events that foster teamwork, enforce citizenship, and provide the opportunities to work with law enforcement officers and caring adult mentors; and believes that it can help reduce the juvenile crime rates in Southwest Washington by empowering our youth to make responsible life choices.
