What is better than ice cream on a hot August day? That is exactly what the town of Ridgefield has thought the last 11year by hosting the Annual Ice Cream Social in their community.
Make sure to mark your calendars and come out on August 20th, 2014 to Overlook Park located in the heart of Ridgefield, WA. This year the free event is sponsored by the Port of Ridgefield with the theme “We’re Ridgefield, We’re Ready. Bring it On.” This is a reference to Ridgefield’s readiness for new growth and development under plans to help manage growth so it benefits the community.
The root beer will start flowing at 4:00 pm and make certain to hang out for some socializing and fun for the whole family. For the kiddos activities include balloon artistry, face painting and entertainment from Clown-Around-Ruby. For the adults there is a raffle and of course free ice cream
All three Port of Ridgefield commissioners, port staff and port advisors will attend the ice cream social to answer questions from Ridgefield residents or business owners. Local and regional elected officials also will attend.
South Main Street will be closed for the event, but parking will be plentiful throughout downtown Ridgefield. Additional parking is available at the Nazarene Church on Pioneer Street.
