hey! sharing is caring :)

Do you have a soccer player in your house? Well, Spring Soccer Season 2017 is just around the corner(kick); registration is open now!

The Washington Timbers provide two Recreational programs, Vancouver United (VUSA) and Camas-Washougal (CWSA). The Club is a non-profit organization with a long history of providing soccer opportunities to the community. According to Washington Timbers Club Executive Director Sean Janson, “The focus is on the player and family, and we strive to ensure all players have the opportunity for fun, development, competitive play, and life experiences. We offer soccer for all players age 4-19 and for players of all skill levels and ability.”

Registration is only open until March 10th. Games start the Saturday after spring break ends, April 15th and end on June 10th, with no games Memorial Day weekend. For more information, visit the Washington Timbers home page, Registration page or FAQ’s.

One of the best things about playing soccer is it teaches them so much more than soccer. It teaches them how to work well with others and be a good teammate/friend. It helps them find an inner strength they did not know they had on the days they are “too tired” to go to practice, but honors their commitment and goes anyways. It teaches them to make goals and that they have the ability in them to accomplish those goals. It teaches them that success does not happen overnight, but takes hours and hours of hard work and practice. It teaches them how to budget their time to accommodate both school work and physical exercise. It gives them the opportunity to make lifelong friendships and develop attributes that will serve them well their whole life.
