Science on Tap | November ’17

hey! sharing is caring :)

Whether you are a major trekie or may only have seen a few episodes before…this month’s Science on Tap at the Kiggins Theater will sure to amaze you as Ethan Siegel takes you behind the scenes.

On Wednesday, November 8th (7:00 pm), come explore the real-life science behind Star Trek‘s technologies.

From tricorders to warp drive, Star Trek became the first series to bring us a vision of a future where humans were just as flawed as ever, but where technology and the way we used it had created a utopian society.

Many of the technologies dreamed up by Star Trek, are already real, while others are quickly approaching and a few still remain elusive.

Ethan Siegel has a Ph.D. in theoretical physics and writes/speaks full-time, including for Forbes, and NASA.

He also has a blog (Starts With A Bang) and has written two books: Beyond The Galaxy and Treknology. Both books will be available for purchase and signing.

You can get advance tickets online or at the Kiggins box office.
