Scary Good Fun on the Run

hey! sharing is caring :)

Trick or Treat? This is no trick, Why Racing events have been permitted for an in-person Scary Run on Saturday, October 31, 2020. Your race, your way; choose either a 5K or 10K, live or virtual race options. However, the Half Marathon is still a virtual-only event this year.

If it’s not already, Scary Run should be one of your Halloween traditions. It’s fun for all ages, so get out your Halloween costumes and be prepared for the run of your life. If the running doesn’t increase your heart rate, being chased by monsters, zombies, and creatures of the night will!

Another treat? Kids 12 and under are FREE, kids ages 13-17 years are 50% off, and there will be upgraded SWAG including Tech shirt, SCARY medal, Beanie, Gloves, and a bag full of treats.

Space is extremely limited with 200 participants allowed per hour for 3 hours in 10-minute waves, which means there is a maximum of 600 total participants. If you are already registered for Scary Run, you should be receiving an email from Why Racing explaining how to transfer if you’d like to race the LIVE option. If you’d prefer to stay in the virtual option, you don’t need to do anything.

This is a beautiful course in quaint Washougal along the Columbia River with views of Mt. Hood and the Gorge. The 5K course is along a trail away from traffic so perfect for the kiddos and a great way to teach them that Halloween isn’t just about the candy, it’s also about treating your body to some fun exercise. The course is extremely flat and perfect for a Personal Best – especially since you’ll be running for your life!
