On June 11th come out to support Second Step Housing and show the world what it means to Run Like a Girl!
The 6th Annual Run Like a Girl is an event that is not only fun and a way to show your stuff…but one that has a purpose. This year’s event will help raise money for Second Step Housing’s ongoing community building programs.
Register online or come early to register the day of the run at Vancouver Landing (West of 100 Columbia Street).
Warm-ups start at 8:40 am; 10K starts at 9:00 am; 5K starts at 9:05 am and Kid’s Run starts at 10:30 am.

For the past 6 years, this event has encompassed the mission of empowering homeless individuals and families. Run Like a Girl is another way to help build confidence, strength, and balance, helping to prepare our residents for life’s many challenges.
History of Second Step Housing
Second Step Housing began in 1995 because a group of concerned community members saw a need for safe, affordable housing for homeless women and children.
Today, Second Step Housing serves more than 450 individuals and families annually and has developed and manages 12 transitional housing properties and 42 units of affordable housing.
